Food baskets were provided to thousands of hungry and malnourished children and their families during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. In 2021, Iraqi Children’s Hope provided 2,650 food baskets, while we provided 3,220 food baskets in 2022!Â
Food baskets included lentils, chickpeas, beans, lettuce, cooking oil, sugar, tea, flour, milk, custard, tomato paste, meat, chicken, fish, hamburgers, samosa, hot dogs, French fries, and much more!
During COVID-19
During the lockdown imposed by the Iraqi government, Iraqi Children’s Hope delivered food baskets, milk, and diapers to children and families in need. These families were the most severely impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic as they were unable to work to provide basic daily necessities for their families.
A special thank you to those who donated and to the volunteer staff for making this all possible!
Iraqi Children’s Hope served the northern Virginia community during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing:
2,600 units of medical gloves to health centers.Â
1,800 surgical masks to health centers.
135 food baskets to local families in need.Â
